STRØM
2024
From the old Norse straumr meaning ‘current or stream’.
Strøm is a series of ‘prototypes’ or models relating to underwater flows and currents, part of an ongoing project exploring ideas around marine energy.
Strøm was shown at the Royal Scottish Academy in 2024. The development of this work continues with an RSA Residency Scotland 2025 at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, Edinburgh. Bevan is also working with an interdisciplinary research project ‘TRANSECTS’ that explores energy transitions in relation to coastal communities. transects.org.uk/research
